THE AMBIENT SESSIONS BLOG

We have a new session, this time conducted by Rojinski . Rojinski is a project of ambient, dark ambient, drone and cinematographic atmospheres that maintains an aura of mystery about his person. He has a long experience as a musician and producer that dates back to the mid-80s, playing in a New Wave band, towards the end of that same decade he was a member of the Belgian New Beat band SX-96, he also started a project of synthpop, EBM, and dark electro in 2007. His influences range from the cosmic music of bands like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Sculze, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode to the New Wave and Cold Wave of the '80s.  In more recent years he discovered the  record label  Cryo Chamber and the artists that comprise it. Rojinski has a long discography, he is constantly releasing new music,  always free of charge and giving away dozens of codes so that bandcamp users can add them to their collections.   Our new session is here, a 1hr mix put together by Sam of S. Salter , this set weaves its way through a world of gentle ambience - from musical inspirations to unreleased new tracks. A collection of various ambient sounds that gently meld together, this mix offers a seamless hour of musical bliss. Using a blend of intricate piano compositions, poised production elements, and carefully placed field recordings, S. Salter tells the listener a story of nostalgia. A project by Amsterdam-based British artist Samuel Ruddick and Berlin-based Swiss artist Jeremia Reichen, the tracks evoke a longing for 'home' whilst in the midst of solitude and a search for the familiar. Compositions from debut album Juun are heavily influenced by Samuel’s native South West of England, and are completed by Jeremia’s distinct sound design and production techniques.
